With over 500,000 square feet of space, this unrefrigerated warehouse had to comply with LL84, New York City's Benchmarking Regulation. eQuickCheck PRO was run to collect energy utilization, benchmark the building, and report the results to local government via the EPA's Portfolio Manager. Though the property rated at slightly above the median with a 52 percentile rank, it was decided to institute an energy efficiency program. eXpressAudit360 was completed, identifying the building envelope and lighting as two prime areas for efficiency retrofits. Also, eNergyRenew was conducted to see if it was feasible to use the building's expansive roof. Significant efficiency retrofits were identified, along with the feasibility of installing solar panels to generate electricity.
